The New English Translation (NET) of the Bible by Biblical Studies Press is an excellent modern English translation. A unique feature of this translation is that the publishers have chosen to make the translation freely available in several electronic formats. Moreover, they have chosen to publish all the translation notes, which most Bible translators will not do as this kind of information has substantial intellectual property value. The NET translation notes are only included in paid editions.
